Well Done Home Invasion Tale ...

I thought the movie did a really good job. There was a lot of tension to it and each of the characters was well played. I especially liked the lead actress who really reminded me a lot of Emily Van Camp from 'Revenge'.

The background of Anna and her brother ended up being a bit disappointing as it cut through the full effect of Anna being heroic in her present situation.

The concept of the house (trap) became a character in and of itself. Overall I was pretty satisfied with the movie. It left me wondering what happened to Dan and Anna as separate characters after that situation ended.

I also liked that they allowed Anna to have some type of 'moral compass' in the situation. It seemed she was fully prepared to let Dan and Charlotte walk away from the situation (even if it *could have* gone a different way entirely based on the scenario). But at least they didn't just make Anna a crazed killer at a whim and when push came to shove Charlotte left the house, Dan left the house ... even J.P. would've left the house if he hadn't returned for vengeance.

Overall it was satisfying for me and I thought they did a really good job. I just wished that the brother hadn't been a serial killer (regardless of the type of chosen victim) and that Anna had not been his 'assistant'. But I guess that was the only way to explain the house set up, even though they could've had Anna fight back differently.

I enjoyed it as well, but I got a little lost when she was explaining the room - did they kidnap (pedophiles) and torture them? Was Anna a victim herself, as well as her brother, and that's why they did it?

And why did her agoraphobia suddenly disappear at the end when she lit the house on fire?

You've got it pretty well down. Anna was abused by her father for a while (until her brother killed them). Honestly not sure if THE FATHER built that room (and all the 'trap' setups or if the brother did .......... BUT she ended up watching him (and talking to the pedophile victims) while her brother tortured them. She tossed in a notebook full of rap sheets, so it seemed to be more than one.

Anyway it seemed she wanted them to confess, ask forgiveness and shoot themselves. And when they wouldn't, she would poison their foot and knock them out so her brother could enter the room and drag them into the next room and hang them.

I think maybe it was something Dan said to her that got her out of the house eventually ...... early on when they were talking (before the break in) he said something about people leaving home because it was their home life was bad and it was the best thing for them to do. Not sure how the abuse by her father caused the agoraphobia to begin with. And thinking about it more, I'm curious about the back story of how her brother got the victims to the house since he couldn't take Anna with him to lure them home.

Yeah, I thought Anna looked just like: Emily Van Camp from 'Revenge'.
