Can't wait until...

...the whole thing with Ali is over. I guess once he finally passes away.

Not the greatest fighter ever and frankly was just a d!ckhead with a loudmouth that somehow enamored white America because he brought that early ninja nonsense into their homes from a safe distance...so let's bestow importance on him? It's weird.
What he pulled against Frazier puts him among the douchiest of the douche of ALL TIME. Be really cool if we could be collectively honest about Ali instead of blindly subscribing to the ridiculous notion that he was the greatest fighter of all time or, for the matter, a great person. He was neither.

get the F out of here, it seems you ahve an agenda with the man or with his beliefs? The man was a superb fighter with great achievements, look at his record and victories..
All you can come up with is the smokin' Joe rivalry?

His beliefs? Nice try, unless you mean his belief that it is ok to be a minstrel show douchebag to people as part of his self promotion. That I do have an agenda with- the agenda being to take anyone to task who is too lazy or cowardly to look at the history of Cassius Clay and be honest instead of just towing the company line.

Furthermore, his record and victories arent as impressive as the media would have the uninformed believe. A great and accomplished fighter? Sure. The best? Afraid not.
A good guy? Not even close. I dont give a sh!t how often your dad saw him and Howard Cossell together. F the nostalgia. Miss me with that bullsh!t.

The lies are just kinda boring now. Come on back when you arent telling any.

just out of curiosity who is the best ever?

There isn't one. It is subjective.

I certainly won't say Ali is the best ever because he said so. Or because some have bestowed a pseudo-Mandela thing upon him. It's silly.

I'm a fight fan, not a pop culture fan.

I knew another foolish troll! If you were a TRUE fight fan you would have picked someone.Btw according to Bert Sugar,Ali was the greatest,Jack Johnson was second. You do know who Bert Sugar is,right? He's a boxing historian.

The fact that you called him "Cassius" instead of his REAL (more famous self chosen) name tells me more about you than anything you could ever say.

"Miss me with that bullsh!t."

OK. You don't like hearing B.S.? Close you mouth then.

"The lies are just kinda boring now. Come on back when you arent telling any."

When did your kind ever stop lying? You never could digest the truth anyway....

The thing with Ali will never be over whether you like it or not. People will always respect him and and speak of him in the same way after his death as they always have been. Fact is he is one of the greatest to ever step into a boxing ring and that can never be argued against because he earned that right just as Rocky did.

reply

Strange thing is. Ali admits he is the greatest but to him Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest pound for pound fighter.

It's that man again!!

Your whole post is nothing but one long pretentious whine against someone whose sweat contained more charisma, heart and soul than you possess in your entire body. Hint: Most of the dudes who claim Ali is the "greatest" are Boxing Historians, connoisseurs of the sport and people who actually HAVE boxed, LOVE boxing or have some serious involvement in the sport. Basically people more knowledgeable about boxing than you will EVER be.

You are just some disembodied voice in the morass of the internet trying to get some attention towards yourself by acting like a total douche. I get it. Everyone ignores you in the REAL world so you have to come here and vent.

Take a hint r-tard: Ali spent the latter part of his life acting as a goodwill ambassador for the UN and was instrumental in eliminating malaria in India (where I live) - which is more than you have or ever will achieve in your lifetime. So I don't need lessons from someone like you (who wears glasses since it's always sunny in douche-ville where you live) on whether Ali's image as a "great person" needs to be revised or not.
