Movie Review & Discussion

##Falls Short of Expectations (1/10)
From the director that gave us an innocent & entertaining Queen, Shaandaar has fallen short of the hype created about the film. Its a less than a routine comedy and any humor is far between the flat style of storytelling. The movie tried to do too much and failed in it. Even the bikini scene of Alia will not put any life to this boring outing.

##Overused animation which is unnecessary (2/10)
The movie has a lot of animation of frogs, animals, human intestine which was totally unnecessary. Was it just to increase the movie length I have no idea what it accomplished. Animations could have been skipped all together

##Unrealistic Dialogues (3/10)
The way the characters converse with each other appeared fake. You can never believe that 2 sane people will talk like that to each other like that. One can hardly understand the motivations of why the character is doing something.

##First half goes nowhere (4/10)
The movie is like a person walking in circles. They are surely walking but not reaching anywhere. One has no idea where to movie is going. It just appears to beat around the bush and nothing substantial happens.

##Funny parts far in between (4/10)
The the movie picks up in certain parts but sadly the slow pace of the movie even ruins this. Some scenes are really good but the Movie so brilliantly murders the entertaining scenes to show us something useless. In the movie one keeps hoping something to will happen and it never does.

##Smoking (0/10)
For the entirety of the movie Shahid Kapoor’s character keeps smoking. Was that really a character requirement? I don't think so... They could just have made him a non-smoker and it wouldn’t have mattered. Every dialogue he delivers we can see cloud of smoke rising

## Repeating same thing over and over again. (1/10)
Certain dialogues are excessively repeated the to point that it becomes annoying. Good thing is the Best scenes are already in the trailers you have already seen the trailer & movie has nothing new to offer

##Over Complicated (3/10)
The movie has been made over complicated for no reason. The movie could have been a lot better if they had learned something from the movie QUEEN and had tried to implement its simplicity

## Costume & Location (8/10)
The only part where the movie shines are making the actors look really good. Alia is hot, Shahid is handsome. The dresses are perfect. The locations are worth watching.

## Better second half (6/10)
The movie picks up pace after the interval. They could have even started the movie from second half I would have complained.

##Mediocre Soundtrack (3.25/10)
The movie has a mediocre soundtrack and the song that is actually any good is not in the movie. Well done guys! # /10 first half
# 3/10 Shaam Shaandaar - Out of place. Though a good song but does not fit in the movie. I kept wondering why the wedding planer be dancing as if it was his wedding.
# 4/10 Gulaabo - Again a good song that does not add anything to the movie. I kept feeling I needed a remote to forward the song.
# 6/10 Senti Wali Mental sond was nice and did fit with movie with a good
# 0/10 Raitaa Phail Gaya - The best song of the movie was not even in the movie. Perfect.

##Summary & Final Rating (3.20/10)
To put in simpler words the movie is boring movie. The protagonist played by Shahid tries to be over-smart and the characters falls flat without any depth. Alia Bhatt acts like a high school girl and I must say does it well but it not enough to put much needed life to the movie.

##Final recommendation - My recommendation is that you can safely skip the movie. It will save you some money and a lot of headache.

What are you thoughts on it?
