Disturbing

The gore wasn’t the disturbing part because that’s all obviously fake. The disturbing stuff was in the writing. The ideas that the character Jack brought forth were upsetting. But they were disturbing for a different reason. Matt Dillon was there and said that Lars said that Jack was the closest character to him personally. That’s the bit that made everything worse because Lars had a video of him introducing the film denouncing Trump. It seemed very much like he was equating Jack and Trump. But he also feels very close to who Jack is. Anyone else at a screening experience this?
