For fine dining, The Cracked Pepper Bistro. Great sandwiches and fries, The Doghouse Grill. It has a great zoo. Fresno can be the butt of many jokes but it has many nice neighborhoods. It has concerts, fairs, symphony, art scene, Broadway shows, etc. The Central Valley feeds families across the nation with its rich agricultural production. The cost of living is reasonable. The air quality is a problem due to smog coming from Los Angeles and also from cars on I5.
shareThis place is the armpit of California. The entire place is dirty and rundown because most of the population is too self-centered to take any kind of pride or responsibility in keeping their part of the place up. Businesses look just like that motel, all run-down and crap, everywhere grease-stained, old-ass buildings with 100 layers of paint crusted on, surrounded by rusting out wire fences and oil-soaked dirt. And that's just the fast food places. Whenever I meet someone who tells me they just moved here from so-and-so other place, I just think to myself, "For the love of pete WHY??"
shareYou're full of sh*t. Yes, parts are bad and run down but there are some good parts. Just like any major city. Fresno will never be like The Bay Area or LA because it's mostly agricultural and that industry likes to keep it country. You make it sound like a war zone lol which it's not.
