There isn't a reason in the world that a company, from any country, would put Clomid AND Letro in a product meant to be an erectile dysfunction medication.
If you're going to fake something, why waste any of your chemicals when you could just use B12 or something? I've never seen a company offer a combined product that contains Clomid and Letro together, and it wouldn't make any sense at all to do so. Both products are taken usually at different times for different reasons. So, I don't buy that it was a mislabeled product either (I could see him trying that excuse because places that sell black market post cycle treatment and AI's often sell ED meds also).
I also don't buy that a millionaire would buy black market Cialis. He could easily afford the real stuff even at full price from a US pharmacy, and if he was looking to save a buck, you can buy foreign RX meds online.
Why buy some black market product from a research chemical company or shady overseas lab?
He was doing post cycle treatment for steroid use, and he got caught.
If you believe otherwise, you're naive at best and stupid at worst.
He should have gotten the full two years at the very least, or more since he's been in constant trouble for the last few years.
Great fighter. One of the best we have ever seen, steroids or not. I personally would be fine if they never even tested these guys and I think the whole program is akin to the old witch hunts. But those are the rules, and he can't follow them no matter how many times he gets in trouble.
I can forgive and forget a few mistakes. He rose to the top at a young age and I can understand some of it. But the fact that he STILL hasn't learned any kind of lesson and thinks he can just do whatever he wants because he's famous makes me lose all respect for him.

"Apparently" he didn't buy anything. His friend gave it to him. Usada also believed his story but didn't care. He's never tested positive for "roids" and when Usada came to his house he had no idea he was going to test positive for anything. His recent podcast with Rogan clears everything up. As much as a POS Jones is and the way he talks about getting blacked out drunk 1 week before every fight, you can tell he liked using dick pills and it was not uncommon for black market drugs to be tainted.

I'm a chemist, I played college sports around lots of guys juicing, have several bodybuilder friends, and I know a lot about these labs, the chemicals, detection times, etc etc.
His excuse is crap and if you actually believe that story he gave on the podcast you obviously don't have a clue about this stuff. And, that's fine. It's no knock on you, but to people with knowledge of this stuff his excuse is ridiculous.
The substances he tested positive for are HUGE red flags for steroid use. That's exactly why they test for them.
USADA couldn't prove he did steroids, because they were out of his system by then, but he tested positive for not one, but two chemicals used by men (for the most part) ONLY for steroid cycle therapy to regulate your hormones back to normal. If they thought he was totally innocent, why did he get the maximum penalty of a year suspension? Guys have gotten off with no punishment for tainted meat and supplements in the past, even just recently.
The story he gave on the podcast makes it even LESS believable now, because he's saying a pharmacist got this stuff and that it was a pill.
I thought maybe he would say it was a liquid product, because that's what the research chemical companies sell. They dissolve the medications in bulk powder form in liquid. His only believable excuse could have been that it was a liquid and the research chemical company must have mislabeled it or cross-contaminated bottles (although that excuse wouldn't work because it wouldn't give him enough of a dose to result in a positive test)
There's absolutely no way that anyone, any lab, any pharmacist, or any company made a PILL WITH letro and clomid in it.
Period.
His excuse is complete crap. How many guys have we heard give this stupid excuse?
He should have talked with someone to come up with a better excuse.

Jones is an amazing fighter. Like the vast majority of past and present fighters, he used steroids. He's still one of the best and could easily be THE best if he would straighten up.
I think the testing is stupid and they should just let the guys fight. I'm just trying to explain this to people who have no clue about this stuff. I can see how it would possibly be believable if you don't know what the substances are, how these products are made, where they come from, etc etc.
An Aromatase Inhibitor (Letro) and a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (Clomid) do NOT get mixed together and made into a dick pill and passed off as Cialis. Not purposely, not accidentally. It's absolutely ridiculous. These are female breast cancer drugs. They also happen to have value to men with hormone issues usually caused by steroid use.
The aromatase inhibitor prevents excess estrogen build-up which happens when you take high doses of steroids that aromatize into estrogen, or it is taken after to prevent excess estrogen when natural testosterone levels are low due to your body shutting down production from being on "external" sources of hormones.
The SERM binds to the estrogen receptor and prevents any excess estrogen from activating it, causing things such as "bitch tits" where men grow breasts. It also "jump-starts" your natural testosterone back after it has been suppressed during a steroid cycle.
These aren't medications that would be combined, nor would they somehow get passed off as a dick pill.
Another HUGE red flag to people who know what is going on is his extremely low testosterone level on one of his previous tests. This was very abnormal and didn't go unnoticed at all. His levels were a fraction of what they should have been, which is a big sign of steroid use. Again, he didn't test positive because he was off cycle, but his natural levels were totally shut down which is what happens when you take exogenous hormones. Then you take the substances in his "dick pill" to bring them back to normal.
