Interresting subject, but a rather shallow look at it..

Crowd funding was a whole new thing for me when I saw this documentary, and it really made me interrested in the subject. Inspiring to think how artists and the like are not so tied to corporate funding in the world of the future! Maybe scientists and charity organizations will work within this framework someday as well..? Makes me wonder especially since scientific research is more and more funded by (and thus tied to) big corporates and their needs.

As for the documentary itself, the three stories were somewhat interresting to follow, but I would have liked an even more wide perspective on the subject. In fact, after the doc, I don't know much more about crowd funding than I did before. How wide is it? How much money is involved? What sort of projects in general get funded? How likely is it for someone to run away with your money? How did the whole concept of crowd funding become so popular so quickly?

These questions that I find important were unfortunately left unanswered.

7/10 for three interresting stories.
