If my daughter were kidnapped and about to be killed, I would be hysterical or at least very very upset and shaking. The mom acted like Casey just took her daughter to an R rated movie or something without asking, not attempt to kill her.

She knew at that point that Casey fed off her hysterics. e.g. - When she was pissed at her sister, she saw, then saw Casey and knew she liked it, maybe even got aroused from it...
