Giving up on this show after watching season 1; hoped for a better 2

I kept waiting for season 1 to get better since I like the cast, but I realized the writing is sort of all over the place--as are the characters. And since there is no "anchor" for the others to play off of, you end up with a bunch of characters in search of a plot. Or they are all off doing their own odd thing. No story arcs and it's really not that funny. The premise is, and the women are talented, but when this started started, I said I'd give it 3 episodes, but "School Sweet School" was really awful. A boy puts very objects on his penis, one teacher makes ugly jewelry, another buys a tiny house, a stoned teacher fakes story time, etc.

Oh, and Haley Joel Osment to the rescue?
