Best pick of the 5 pilots

This was by far my favorite of the 5 Amazon pilots and I hope it gets chosen as a series.
Although it's set in 1985, unlike the utterly unwatchable "The Goldbergs", it doesn't make that the whole focus of the show, and it also gets down the fashion & hairstyles of the era much better than the Goldbergs do.

I loved how spot on the lead character's girlfriend looked in the scene sitting in the car. I almost felt like I was actually watching an old '85 film.

Just one glaring flaw was noticed that did yank me out of the moment...When the lead character used today's slang term "Epic" to describe his evening. No one used the word in that context yet, which makes me wonder if the writers are a bunch of 20 somethings.

Other than that small anachronism, which pales to in comparison to the ones found on "The Goldbergs", it's a really fun show with already fleshed out characters that I hope to see more of.

Just next time, keep the dialogue in 1985 and make it be "Awesome" instead of "Epic".
