I don't get it...

I kinda like this show. But I'm not sure I get it. The story or the plot or the premise. What's the point of any of this? And...

Will they make David fatherless or nah?
Why the hell are Dave and Karen even together in the first place?
Is Getty supposed to be an ahole? Or a trustworthy, genuine father figure?
Is Skye effed up or is she a nice chick? A Psycho?
So Dave and Skye had sex and there was no guilty conscious.
Is Karen just a dumb bimbo?
What is up with Misty's accent? Jersey or not?
Is Nash Middle Eastern or Indian?
Do I like this show or I don't?

Now, I'll admit, I watch this as I'm trying fall asleep. I figured it'd be one of those chill shows that provides white noise. And it is a chill show. But I didn't think I'd be lost, not confused, just lost. I kept watching this to feed my need for 80's nostalgia left behind by those damn Stranger Things kids. And it has... but it really hasn't. It's off, but it's... IDK!

Do I have to make up my mind or the show? Is it me or the show?

What's the point of any sitcom? Here is a situation -- summer season at the Red Oaks CC -- and here are some funny, or amusing things that occur.
Most of the best comedies are character rather than plot driven. And those characters tend not to be one dimensional.

What's not to get?

"So, that's my story, 'cuckolded by a man of the cloth'," laments Nash to the old ladies at the far corner wedding reception table. "That's what they'll carve on my gravestone." The blue hairs roll their eyes, Nash looks away and with a wave of his arm adds, "Except, I've planned to be creamated and have my ashes scattered across our women's softball team."
