This Is Soooo Bad....

A reality show about a convicted Meth dealer and a washed-up ex stripper who aren't even legally married?

I think we've reached the bottom of the barrel!

Spoken like someone who has no clue how much Meth can rule someone's life, and that it's nothing but admirable that someone could get out of that life.

I have sympathy and empathy for users/addicts.

But IMHO, dealers are complete SCUM for peddling the *beep* onto others. I wonder how many people Jarod "helped" to get started into Meth addiction, and how many people's lives ended up being destroyed as a result?

reply

They have to feed their addiction SOMEHOW. There really isn't much difference.

Chase: Wow. Yeah, I get it. House is adorable. I just want to hold him and never let go.

I want to thank you for your words. Unless you've been there or around it in some way, it's easy to judge others who have.

I don't know anything about this couple other than seeing them on SW & now this show which I'm so far enjoying mildly. If this really is their history all it does for me is make me want to see how it plays out.

Meth is one of THE WORST things out there. I know this from being there, using it for over a decade, seeing things I'd gladly pay real money to forget about. It doesn't just wreck your own life...it decays the lives of anyone who cares about you...unless they're using too which makes it "ok" to do.

I've been done with this BS since '01. I have my family back, I have their trust which means EVERYTHING to me. I'm lucky, many are not. I can't say I like Jarrod, I think he's kind of a douchebag. If he turned his life around in this big of a way...well, douchebag or not, he has my respect. Take care. :)

And just think.

Without a Meth DEALER, you never would have gotten hooked in the first place.

Dealers are scum.

reply

I'm not trying to defend dealers, but you can't place all the blame them. They are just offering a service, you have to be strong enough to not go see them. It's not like if dealers chase regular people around and put a gun to their heads and force them to start using drugs. It's easy to blame someone else, but it's only when you can accept that nobody's to blame but yourself that you can begin the road to recovery.

I know nothing about addiction? how about eating fast food 3 times a day for 5 years and weighing over 300 pounds? How about smoking an ounce of weed a week until your lungs start to bleed? Yeah I Know a thing or two about addiction. The thing is people are weak and are always looking for an excuse or for something to blame. All the dealers are doing is making it available, they aren't forcing anyone to buy from them. It's time for people to take responsibility for their own choices instead of always trying to blame something else.

I agree..all i can say is WHY?? But then again it is the A&E channel..pretty much sinking like the History channel..

reply

At one point the History and A&E channel used to be... educational. Yes I said it... educational! But as the History Channel's own name says... that's all history.

History Channel used to be a channel with ACTUAL HISTORICAL SHOWS, A&E used to feature some insightful biographies, and even Animal Planet used to be about ACTUAL ANIMALS. Animal Planet now is more focused on Mermaids and Megalodon still existing (falsehood), History Channel is about Pawn Stars and Ancient Aliens, and A&E has this atrocity of a show and those hypocrite country club types in Duck Dynasty (false personas).

The American public is feeding into this nonsense.

Worse, underneath the barrel's bottom.

Yeah well shows like this one are why I cancelled my Time Warner TV subscription. And the fact that cable and satellite is way too expensive... and what you're getting for the money doesn't justify keeping it.

I could do with Barry Weiss having his own show. Apparently he was in the produce business (not drugs lol... more like fruits and vegetables)... made his money legitimately.

Jarrod even looks like he's still a tweeker. Was happy his dumb store closed and nobody went to it.

And then they brought back that clown Dave Hester who is a total hypocrite. Yeah, exactly why I can't bring myself to watch Storage Wars. And Jarrod and Brandi having their own show? Yeah, definite pass.

reply

That's really harsh. I applaud anyone who can successfully pitch and win a show. Besides, Jarrod has his moments -- when he and Brandi are dieting and she gets crabby while doing a cleanse, he accuses her of "juice anger." Funny!

reply

Funny??..explain?
