True story about Val Kilmer being an ass

My former landlord owned a farm in the suburbs of Boston and the crew for Spartan was shooting on her property for a day or two. Kilmer was there.

During a shooting break, she walked up to Kilmer--bearing in mind she owns the property they're shooting on--with her granddaughter asking him if she could get a picture with him and her granddaughter. His response: "What's in it for me?"

She walked away in disgust.

Sounds accurate. I've heard many stories about his diva attitude over the years.
I wonder if he's humbled at all in his old age. (he's definitely packed on the pounds) He seems to do mostly "straight to video", B-grade movies now.

"Oh, yeah, one more thing....where can I get a pizza?."
