Fairuza Balk vs Frankenheimer


I understand her feelings, and it's clear he didn't get the project or really to want it.

I still think it's funny that she talks about him as though he's just some old guy. Like she didn't know who he was. Like he's not legendary.

Lots of fiery tempers happening, even among the bit players in this fiasco (I'm referring to the drama behind the scenes, not the movie).

Tempers, definitely - but 'legendary'? Frankenheimer was a director-for-hire, a workman, not an artist. A young actor who thought they were doing a small surrealist horror picture would be expected to have that reaction to someone like that, even if it wasn't made personal.
