Is this a remake of the 2006 film, with some of the same cast, or a rerelease, or what?

This is the same movie. The 2006 film seems to have only been shown a few times, & never got a real release. It was originally called The Legend of Simon Conjurer. It was put for download on Amazon in 2014.

Even more confusion I ended up here looking for a Russian thriller about a teacher who moves from Moscow to a smaller towns all girl school titled "Deadly Lessons" from 2009
