Why was this movie screwed at the Oscars?

I think it's typical of the so called experts on film oscar people...at the end of the day...the very films that should get recognition through the Oscar set up never do..maybe they ignored it because of the subject matter who knows..or maybe we shouldn't be worried as the Oscar judges are not the all knowing all seeing experts they maybe feel they are..in my opinion there just a mainstream look at so called good films..basically they choose what they think is good and a certain amount if people will follow..it's just part of the make a profit from a film business
