Yeah dudes are probably taking their ladies to Me Before You for a very specific reason. Godspeed, horndawgs. And while I admit I (at age 30) will probably see this movie eventually, the comedy appeal is probably mostly to 12 year old boys who can't get in to R-rated movies, so too bad for this movie. Don't mean I won't laugh my immature ass off whenever I get around to watching it though.

share$5 million on OW is not goood and I don't think this is going to blow up overseas to make over $40-$50 million. But it is no like Universal is going to go bankrupt over the loss.

shareStop, the DVD/Blu Ray market dies more and more every year. It also cost money to package and advertise DVDS/Blue-rays. Streaming is pennies on the dollar unless the studio has leverage. And you are really optimistic if you think this movie will do much overseas.
Furthermore, I don't think Universal spent money on this movie's production and paid millions to advertise it for it to hopefully, make money a few years down the road. That is not how the business works. Like I said before, Universal is not going to go under because of this, but it is hardly one for the win column despite your grasping. Same with the Nice Guys. Sure it might turn a profit...by 2020.
Because Me Before You is a lame tear jerker chick flick that all girls are dragging their boyfriends too. Popstar is the superior film.
