Did she quit or was she fired?

Since she was escorted out by security I'm guessing she was fired.

If she had quit I'm guessing she would have spent more time gathering up her awards and things before leaving.

I think we have to understand wasn't there to be her new boss but rather to get her very own job. The fact she was escorted implies indeed she was fired.
