Good, but not great imo. Plus, at least 2 very similar bits to Bill Burr's bits. The one with the guns locked away, and the last bit with the airport lady trying to making him swear to end the conversasion.

Not close enough to say he lifted from Burr. While they crossed over the same subjects, the feel and delivery of the jokes were different and comics cover a lot of the same material all the time.

The OP never said that he lifted from Burr. He said the bits were similar. I agree that some of his bits were similar to Burr's but they have similar mindsets so that's not surprising. The reason why Burr is so popular is because a lot of people think in a similar way.

Maybe it's a coincidence but I think his shows were better when he used to drink, but this one was better than Fully Function. Then again that one reached an epic climax with the coke & sex part. Bare was good but nothing really stands out. Still watched it twice though. ;)

i turned it off because i heard the material already. he probably had some new bits in there but im not going to wade through all the recycled *beep* to find it

I don't know Bill Burr, but Jeffries delivery is awesome... I expect material to be recycled some of the time, but the two most important things I care about are: Do I like the standup, and are they funny? Answer yes to both questions... Anything else is just nitpicking.

Took a small look at him. Not immediately likeable. His material might be great if I could make myself sit through it, but he was starting to annoy me after 30 seconds...

Not trying to establish credibility here, but it also took me 4 or 5 attempts to get into Burr. Meanwhile I think he's the best comedian out there, right up there with Louis CK (and Jim Jefferies). And his podcast is fúcking genius.

I've seen both Bill Burr specials before I even knew about Jim Jefferies. When I saw this special absolutely nothing about it made me think he lifted it from Burr.

Comedians talk about similar topics all the time. That's what observational comedy is. It would be impossible for every single comedian to have their own unique topics because stuff that happens in the world affects everyone. They just express their opinions on it differently.

Personally, I thought this was hysterical. All of Jefferies' material is gold honestly.
