Why would Lifetime do another intentionally false, unauthorized biopic?

This "biopic" is an inexcusable exploitation of a deceased actress, without any input from her family!

Shame on Lifetime (or should I say, Lietime?)

Seriously. I mean, wasn't it listed on her IMDB page that she died due to some illness, and people suspect(ed) it is because of something that was in the house (like the walls, such as mould or something?

As for Lifetime's involvement, well, look at their version of the Carlina White story. The blurb at the end said that she kept in touch with at least one of her parents, and had nothing to do with the woman who kidnapped her. That was a complete lie. She went back to the woman who kidnapped her, and never had anything to do with her birth parents ever again.

Lifetime is notorious for getting things wrong, or just outright lying with no regard for the consequences.

I didn't know that about Carlina White. That's so sad she didn't embrace her real family!

Just saw that this movie actually will enter into existence. So wrong on so many levels. I shouldn't even care that the actress playing Brittany looks nothing like her and has horrendous skin, but even that bothers me. It hasn't even been five years, and the fact that they're making a biopic at all, riddled with more half-truths, outright lies, and exploitation than any boipic should have, is the worst of all.

What it may help to do, at the very least, is get the strange cases of Brittany and her husband reopened and reinvestigated. What I want to know about is why they were going to be whistleblowers against Homeland Security(!), nowhere in the articles you cite does it say what that was all about, and I doubt the TV movie will cover that, either.

Revenge is a dish that best goes stale.

I know if Lifetime was going to go with a falsehood, they could've at least went with the Illuminati sacrifice angle. That would've been a perfect fit with their programming!

It's not so bad as long as you can keep the fear from your mind.

From what I hear, the made-for-Lifetime movie "The Brittany Murphy Story" is filled with half-truths and poorly-researched TMZ headlines about random pieces of her life, ending with an outright lie. The end of the movie says she was fired from the cast of "Happy Feet" because of 'problems'... she wasn't in "Happy Feet" because she died before production.

I just saw this movie this weekend and I found it very disturbing. The portrayal of Brittany was nothing like the upbeat person I saw in movies and on TV through the years. They showed her in her last years to be an unreliable, unmanageable zombie. But this weekend I also saw "Abandoned", which I assume she made near the time of her death, and in that movie she looked like her feisty, radiant self with the pretty smile. And they didn't emphasize her success in "8 Mile" at all. I just hope the poor girl had a better life than what we were shown in this movie.
