This movie was a DISGRACE! Can't pick just "moments." They portrayed her as a pill popping, pathetic, insecure mess that had no strength on her own. Like her mother was some hero, which she was not! Brittany said "mom, I'm dying I love you." This was an HOUR before she was found dead! And her mother did not want an autopsy either! First Sharon described the reports of mold contributing to the deaths as "absurd" and went on to state that inspecting the home for mold was never requested by the Health Department. In December 2011, Sharon Murphy changed her stance, announcing that toxic mold was indeed what killed her daughter and son-in-law, and filed a lawsuit against the attorneys who represented her in an earlier suit against the builders of the home where her daughter and son-in-law died. I think she was angry that Brittany married Simon. I once thought he had something to do with her death, not sure now. I think Sharon knew the gravy train was depleting and killed her for the money. And Simon just to get rid of him so he got nothing from her estate. But I blame them both for not calling paramedics. If someone was that ill and telling me they were dying, all the pleading would go ignored! I would have called 911 to at least get her accessed! But for their actions, she MIGHT be alive. And certainly cannot deny her father's tox reports that he got. And a lot was made of him not being in her life. Well, I see pics of them together as a teen, young adult? And I know he did time in prison. I think SHARON kept him away. Terrible movie and an insult to the beautiful person Brittany was.

Did the mom live with Brittany and Simon? If so, she's superwoman, or the mold was in a place that affected only their marital bedroom...

Yes, she lived with them, and initially ridiculed the mold theory, until the opportunity for a lawsuit became apparent to her.

Even if she did not poison her daughter, I still consider her to blame. If Brittany really was as sick as portrayed in the movie, she (or they) should have brought her to the hospital regardless of whether she wanted to go or not. Just call 911 whole she was alive and they would have taken her in. So therefor I believe she is guilty for not taking action to save her daughter.

Even before the test results, I always believed that Sharon found Brittany and Simon's deaths convenient at least.

All I know is that my mom would have completely overrode any protest on my part had I been that sick. Brittany didn't have to die!!!!

I watched the interview that Larry had with Sharon and Simon. Did anyone else find it super weird that Simon called Sharon "babe" or "baby" at one point?!? I mean I don't know many men who call their mother in laws "baby". And they were getting their stories mixed about about what happened just before she died. I think Sharon and Simon had a secret love affair and plotted to kill Brittany. I don't know why, but if the movie was accurate, seemed she was not bringing in the money like she used to and was becoming more and more depressed, unable to function. Then I think Sharon got bored or maybe greedy and did the same thing to Simon.

Did anyone else notice Simon say "baby"? I had to backup and listen again to make sure I heard it. It was when they were arguing about what Brittany said or did minutes before she died and Simon said something like: "Baby you're getting your time all mixed up".

What do you think?

Just watched this movie on Lifetime... I think Sharon had Munchausen by Proxy and had been convincing Brittany for years that she was sick/medically fragile in order to keep Brittany dependent on her. It's not uncommon for mothers with this disease to poison their children and make them physically sick. They get off on playing the victim/martyr when they are showered with attention and concern for their sick child. Maybe Sharon fatally poisoned Brittany by accident while attempting to keep her just sick enough to be dependent on Sharon, or maybe she finally decided to kill her because she wanted the money and attention that would result from Brittany's death.

1. From whom though in this case? Sharon and Brittany were allegedly terrified of negative publicity concerning Brittany's health affecting her career. Eager to maintain her lifestyle, I belief Sharon had a much greater motivation to keep Brittany's health problems quiet in later years than to draw attention to them.

2. How do you explain Sharon's reluctance to get medical aid in Simon's case?
