Disappointing Second Episode. (It's all spoilers)

I knew Col was lying the second he turned up at the house. How did Vince not know? He would have checked with The Horse.

Forgive me but, I think Vince's questioning of why someone needs to be put in the boot of a car, comes across as ridiculous. It doesn't usually end well.

Then there's the completely pointless 'secrecy'. "Where are we going?"
"You don't need to know." Then he's given directions to get there!

It's really well-acted by the whole cast but, lacking in plausiblity.

a) he didn't want to call the guy 'unless absolutely necessary',

It was necessary. This wasn't the way he was supposed to be contacted. Like I said, I knew Col was lying! He should have deemed it necessary.

Horse sent Col to do a job. But, he didn't instruct Col to involve Vince.

I'm sure Col will have told The Horse about Vince being there; it will all be revealed next week and I'll watch it. I just think it's stretching plausibility.

I was sympathetic, to a certain extent in Ep 1 but, now he deserves the *beep* he's in. I'm not sure whether the writers want you to feel that way.

I was a little confused too. Col says after being dropped off that he wasn't acting on Horse's orders. But later on, it's clear that he was. He clearly had specific orders to take the guy to the quarry and do what he did.

He didn't say he wasn't acting on Horse's orders - he said something to the effect that Horse hadn't asked for Vince's involvement. It was a solo job. As Col said to Vince - he only asked him to come along for the company.

Time flies like the wind - and fruit flies like bananas!

he meant that he wasn't asked to tell vince to pick him up...he was supposed to do it solo if u watch the last like 6 minutes of that episode you can hear "the horse" tell him about col not being able to even complete a solo assignment

The disappointing part is the Mcguffin. Its throwing a body down the hole and then Vince rescuing him.

Did anyone notice that the house where Vince's son was staying was Ashley's caravan park from Happy Valley? As soon as he pulled in the driveway I thought "what is he doing here?" Lets see, he breaks into a place which is supposedly a safe refuge, physically assaults a person in authority, threatens another with a hammer he just happened to bring along, refuses to leave, and those people a) let him talk with his son and at no point even think of calling the po-leece. I'll watch the third episode but this series isn't going to end up in a top 100 list by a long shot.

I guess if the cult called the police there might be uncomfortable questions asked by the police as to what are all these young people doing here.

i totally disagree i think it gives just enough spunk during the times you mentioned nothing is perfect and your just judging it based on a few comments that were meant for filler

Vince didn't know because he is new to the whole world of crime and is scared, fear makes you do messed up sh*t. For example, fear will make you ask stupid questions even if they seem pretty obvious. We're viewers, we're not experiencing it. Plus, Vince JUST STARTED, maybe thought Horse changed his mind and decided its cool if his friend Col just goes to Vince's house and picks him up for a job.

And the reason for this secrecy is because if he tells Vince he is going to a place to kill a kid and hide the body what do you think someone who still has morals is going to do? Still drive him there with a smile?

People needs to put themselves in the shoes of a working class man, with a wife, kid, and low paying sh*t job, before they evaluate his fear-based decisions.
