Like the series but huge changes from the pilot episode

It's interesting now when I watch the pilot episode they changed it

Here's what I noticed

Original pilot
1. Grandma was older
2. Wife/ mom Kelly's mom was thinner and red head, different actress
3. Buddy sneezed on Kelly's cake
4. Pic of the three girls including Kelly's grandma in cook book were three women that looked like early twenties, late teens

New revised pilot
1. Grandma is Dee Wallace
2. Kelly's mom has dark hair and is heavier , again different actress
3. Buddy and Kelly fighting over the cake and then Buddy dropped it
4. Added sequence of Kelly and Grandmother baking on video
5. Kelly looking different when the cookbook started to glow
6. Pic of girls in cookbook now look like three pre teen girls.. little kids, ironically look more like Kelly, Hannah and Darby's ages.

I understand when there is a pilot episode to a series things can get changed around later in the regular episodes, actors could change, plots, settings, characters can change, etc. but I thought it was weird that they went back and changed the pilot episode after showing the old pilot on Amazon for so many months now. Since last year

Did anyone notice the differences

Yes I did but it's not the first time a show has done that. Didn't really bother me too much. Love the new episodes!

I just watched the two different versions of the pilot, followed by the second episode. Apart from the changes you mention, what I noticed is that the girls look noticeably older in the second episode that they do in both of the pilots, so presumably the new pilot scenes were just edited into the original scenes of the girls, then the following episodes were shot quite a bit later.

^ I get what you mean when I thought about it , that's exactly what they did because the parts that weren't changed are identical to the original pilot.

I hope this gets another season, I'm interested why they cursed that guy.
