Where are you getting the 2017 date? The story you linked to that tells of season 2 does not say when it will be released just that show has been picked up for season 2.
Edit: Okay I did my own searching. Renewcanceltv.com says expected release late 2016/early 2017. But here is the clincher, they also have what they say is the official press release from Amazon and no where in the press release does it say when.
I am not actually sure when it will be released but given that the first full season was released in January, I'm thinking it should be released around then.
