Great twists and turns

Scherzo Diabolico – bit of a mouthful to the untrained English tongue – means “diabolical prank”, which I’m certain is not an ideal translation. It made the film festival circuits last year, and is just now freshly minted on home video and on demand as we speak. I wasn’t, strictly speaking, familiar with the work of director Adrián García Bogliano, but he had a segment in The ABC’s of Death, and is fairly well known in horror circles for the features Penumbra and Here Comes the Devil, among a number of other credits: http://www.cutprintfilm.com/reviews/scherzo-diabolico/

Just seen it and loved it. Good review also - seems to describe everything I liked without spoiling the film TOO much, though even the little he mentions does actually spoil the question mark about the list at the beginning. Really glad I watched it without reading any reviews, thanks in part to your post :)

I was a bit disappointed with the ending.

Instead of the daughter getting revenge. I would have liked to have seen the mysterious txts and calls coming from his underling to push him out and get his job.

I loved this movie, will definitely check out the director's other work.
