loved it!!

finally got to catch bastard and i loved it! i wasn't sure what to expect going in but i really enjoyed it. huge fan of rebekah kennedy and she was great in it! plus the movie is fun. not super scary really. but has good gore moments and a good story. the acting was awesome pretty much all around and the script is excellent. even though i guessed who the killer is pretty early on. didn't take away from the movie. i recommend!!

I basically agree 100%! I am a biased lover of slasher films, but I thought this film was fantastic, with a standout performance from Ellis Greer as Hannah!

I stuck a blender in his head and killed him.

totally agree! slasher films aren't even my favorite but they did a great job. and ellis greer as hannah was awesome. the whole cast was great!

Really wasn't expecting much from this, very happily surprised.
It caught me sideways a little, all the odd back stories to the characters were nicely crafted and surprisingly I cared for the actors - first time in a long time a modern horror's done that for me.

Tonya Kay really did her role well, she pulls off unstable nicely.

I completely agree, this movie is fantastic. I thought the characters were really well written and acted. And the gore was...just...*EEW*

Really, really pleasantly surprised by how good this movie was.
(Still can't figure out the ending though...)

so much gross stuff haha what about the ending? the 15 years later stuff?

I didn't quite get the ending either. Who was the couple at the end? It was obvious the new killer was the kid.

yeah that was obvious. i think they were just random people talking about what happened?

I enjoyed it as well. I just wish it was longer. It seemed like they ran out of time, money, or script. Great characters and I wanted to get more on them. The lake killing seemed really random and fast. Not to mention they didnt connect the kids to being up by the lake at all. They should have added a scene where they drive up to the lake instead of the blonde guy just running off. I didnt put two and two together until Hannah got the big D out of the sand.

But still a great movie with some nice twists and turns.

i agree. wasn't perfect. and wasn't the best horror movie i've ever seen lol. but it was tons better than most indie horror movies. and the acting was really great. usually acting in these kinds of movies sucked. i was pleasantly surprised the acting was so good. all around.

I really liked it too. Very odd scences that were not expected, like the dildo, brother/sister sex...
