The ending...Spoilers

Alright, let me start off by saying I actually had fun watching this film.. My question is, what was the point of the ending scene? Was that just to show that kid was alive and well? If so, he'd be older than he was portrayed.. Another thing, what ever happened to the little inbred baby? This wasn't tied up in a pretty little bow like it kinda needed to be.. I'm ok with the kid running lose,I would've liked to see what's going on with the incest survivor..
