Zombie Park .......... BUT ....

.....sooooooooooooooooooooo much more than that.

I was really impressed by the concept (which is very much 'Jurassic Park' with zombies instead of dinos.)

But the overall story goes waaaaaay. Further than that ....... after a long introduction where we're introduced to a quite likeable cast of guests and a bunch of the workers of The Rezort, the guests are put through their paces on how to 'enjoy' their experience.

Of course, once they all go out for their 'adventure', all hell breaks loose.

Simple so far, until we get to the messages (undead rights activism, abuse of refugees, and corporate greed at all costs)

It all moves quickly and when the *beep* hits the fan, it becomes very much like a computer game (which means lots of shooting, but not much effects wise. Don't expect a Tom Savini special effects extravaganza from this film .... it is a lot of bullet wounds and bites)

I'd highly recommend this for viewing and would most likely watch it again. It ends well with the 'bad guy' getting their comeuppance and the 'good guy' realizing that there was no line between humans and the undead at all)

9 out of 10 for me.

I agree. This is one of the better zombie movies. Well worth watching.

Hell yes. This one really delivered! <3

i agree guys! i definitely liked this movie. it did something so many zombie movies/shows (and horror movies in general) can't seem or don't want to do and that's have characters that are actually likable!! like the 2 obnoxious "16 year old" guys. at first i wanted them to die ASAP since they were so incredibly annoying but Jack (of the 2) turned out to be pretty nice. Sadie was actually my favorite character (along with Melanie (De Gouw) and Dougray Scott's character) and even though she is responsible (unbeknownst to her) for what happens at the resort, she genuinely felt bad about it and had no idea that that was going to happen. Elen Rhys's (Sadie) acting was VERY good in this as well. i just figured out Elen played the flight attendant who is one of the first to get infected/turned on the plane sequence in WORLD WAR Z!

but the acting from pretty much everyone in this was surprisingly good.

Honestly, I'm sick of zombie movies, I got Walking Deaded out and the first thing that hit me was Jurassic Park with undead instead of dinosdinos.
But you're right, there's so much more to this movie then just another zombie flick. I just had that hunch when I saw the little girl with the teddy bear at the refuge camp at the start of the movie.
Really makes you think about how we treat each other, how people aren't people anymore when they're just a name or number so we can overlook the horrors of the real world.
I wound up really enjoying Rezort and would be willing to rewatch it again in the near future.
Really, never heard of the cast, the special effects weren't all that special, but the story was a cut above the rest, the acting was surprisingly good and the characters were flawed but likeable.
Really worth a watch.
Or two.

It's kind of a homage to Westworld. Not sure if any of you ever saw it, it's a very old classic movie about a resort that has separate theme worlds populated with cyborgs. And as soon as the guests get in there, the cyborgs all go crazy and start killing the guests. They are supposed to be doing a new tv series of it this year.

This movie was definitely one of the more intelligent zombie movies. I liked the plot. The cast wasn't bad. I thought it was much better than most zombie movies out there. Very worth the watch.

I thought it was good, but it had the potential to be tonally much darker and grittier. I think it would have made for a more satisfying film.

The movie was okay. The story was good, the production values were a little weak in places.

It is a story that could easily have been a chapter in the book World War Z. It has the same flavor. Like, one of the crazy things that would come with a World War Z.

they do move in herds.

For low budget it was better than alot of big budget zombie movies. I agree actually felt sorry for some of the characters that died (For movie like this it's rare for me). I wished they had a bigger budget and a longer run time to expand on the refugee story.

Ive seen just about every zombie movies out there and this once delivered, the first 10-15 mins gave me the impression i was going to watch another low budget lame zombie movie but as soon as the adventure begins it takes you right into "Dead Island" (the video game) and kept me on the edge till the very end, hats off to thr whole production team, really impressed amd entertain me, i do hope a sequel is in the talks i do believe this series and have alot of potential, a 9 out of 10 from me and i highly recommend it
