I thought Found was a pretty good horror film. Some parts genuinely disturbed me; the ending in particular stuck with me long after.
Headless was a bit of a disappointment in comparison.
1. The plot was nonexistent. Not that these types of films need to be Citizen Kane but I didn't really care about any of the characters. I was actually bored in some spots.
2. Not scary. Subjective, I suppose, but nothing had me on edge.
3. Didn't go far enough with the violence and gore. For all the hype it was basically eyeball eating and head humping. For a film promising to be as messed up as they did they could have easily ramped it up and made it more sleazy and depraved.
Didn't go far enough? I thought this film was extremely depraved and I'm not sure what more you can do. That was really it's only intention. Found (2012) actually had a plot and was a real movie. What is something that went further?
To me the "best" part of the movie was how much the killer enjoyed his torture and murders. You could tell he was genuinely excited and having a good time. Disgustingly kinda charming.
Someone cutting into a pregnant woman's stomach to get the baby.
A Serbian Film
Raping a baby to death, the father unwittingly raping his son
Irreversible
The extended rape scene, head being bashed in with the fire extinguisher.
Takashi Miike's films are also pretty perverse.
I'm NOT a fan of sexualized violence but I was a bit surprised that the film didn't really go there beyond that scene in the beginning (as in rape/torture, not just humping heads). I expected that he was going to rape his sister or his mother for example at one point.
If you've seen 'Found', this film didn't go much farther than the 'Headless' segments there.

You've gotta be kidding... You really think HC3 was worse than Headless? That was by far the tamest of the trilogy. It was more of a comedy than anything. The second one was incredibly disturbing.
