I was under the impression this was a dark drama because to me that's how the trailer on HBO portrayed it. IMDB says it's a comedy. Was anyone else confused as to what the genre is? I'd rather have a dark drama than a comedy. I was really looking forward to it by the trailer. Oh well. HBO doesn't really have any shows I'm crazy about anymore. :(
shareIt will definitely have comedy elements like the book. But I think in the start it'll be a little light and then as the episodes go on it'll get darker same as the book. The main reason I'm excited for this is because of the cast and HBO. It looks like a proper good show, not one of these usual network shows like ABC or CW.
shareYeah, it's comedic at times - courtesy of Madeline, played by Reese Witherspoon here - but it does get darker when certain things are revealed about the mothers as the book goes on. I'm really excited for this series and the stellar cast because I really enjoyed the book.

P.S :- i just replied coz i didnt want u to back off from watching it. Book was amazing and show will be amazing as well.
In the book its a drama but it has very occasional funny bits and i guess the insults and silly things they do in the book are funny as long as theyrr not happening to you. im hoping HBO doesnt make it a full comedy.
