Switch between 3D animation to anime-like movements is phenomenal

Just all these transitions and subtle effects make this animation great to look at. With wide shot battle scenes it goes to a anime-like drawing where frames are dropped every other scene so it looks janky mixed with cel shading. Then you got the paso doble dances where the feet making contact on the ground makes those manga/comic-style vfx.

Yeah switched between a lot of styles but made it work and always looked beautiful. I particularly liked the jerky animation during fights which kind of emphasised the action. Some real mastery of the art.
