I know everyone talks about how intimidating Death was (and he was), but damn...Jack Horner was both funny but also a fucking psychopath.
What a twisted take on a fairytale character. At least Death was only doing his job and disliked Puss because of his arrogance (and backed off once Puss was no longer prideful). Jack Horner is just plain nuts.
Yeah he was evil and totally self interested. Kind of believable though as he had purpose.
His henchmen the bakers dozen died in particularly nasty ways (pretty shocking for this kind of movie I thought) and he was just ambivalent.
I think he's probably the depraved villain in the series so far.
I've seen a lot of praise for that character's characterization, that he was just evil for evil's sake, no tragic backstory behind it.
