plot/about

Does anyone know what this movie is about? I couldn't find a movie trailer. And there's also no plot summary

reply

I have a tvguide subscription and it says "After telling her the story of her failed engagement, Ali wakes up to find herself transported back to the Christmas before her wedding." That's exactly what it says and I have no idea Who she was telling the story to.

BACK TO CHRISTMAS – Premieres Saturday, December 20, at 9/8c

Cast: Kelly Overton, Michael Muhney, Jonathan Patrick Moore, Jennifer Elise Cox, Moses Jacob Storm, Gloria Loring, Mark Hutter

Production Company: MarVista

Saddened about spending another Christmas alone, Ali meets Ginny, a quirky and spunky woman, at a diner on Christmas Eve. Ali tells Ginny that she was to be married on New Year's Eve last year, but over the course of the holidays she and her fiancé unexpectedly split. When Ali explains that she would do everything differently if she could go back in time, Ginny tells her that "sometimes people do get second chances." The following morning, Ali wakes up to find herself transported back to that Christmas before her planned wedding. While she sets out to avoid the mistakes of her past, she learns that changing the course of history is no easy task.

I'm having a hard time liking the main characters...

I would have liked it a lot more if the ending hadn't been rushed. It reminded me of another similar movie where the female lead goes back in time to a week before her wedding.

I understood the premise; that her boyfriend and others would act differently from what she remembered based both on what she said and how she acted differently from the the first time. However, I had a lot of trouble understanding what she still found attractive about her boyfriend with the way he responded and treated her. I became increasingly frustrated with her still wanting him to propose and, although he didn't, I found it hard to believe she still wanted him up until the end. I really began to dislike her when she didn't dump him long before and didn't recognize the obvious chemistry between her and her neighbor friend. It was especially difficult to have any sympathy for her when her neighbor finally confessed his feelings for her, she misunderstands what he said, and then storms off. She acted way too defensively for someone who was curious about his interest in her and might have the same feelings as him.

Her father was fine but her mother was really a piece of work! The bother was quite funny though.

Thanks for that answer.
I admit I couldn't make it until the end...I got distracted by other boring things, lol.

After watching the movie I had the same concerns I couldn't see any reason why she would have stayed with her boyfriend he didn't seem to have any redeeming features and the minute he said he didn't want children she should have dumped him he was so full of himself and materialistic it was sickening

Thanks so much for all the help
