I noticed in episode 2 there's an entire series of scenes devoted to Anatole Kuragin's ineffectual courtship of princess Marya. This was cut in the North American version and in the version of the miniseries on Amazon. Does anyone know of other sections that were cut, and where I can see the unedited original miniseries?
shareI bought the DVD from Amazon.co.uk, so got the unedited series. You need a region-free player to watch in the US - not expensive and great to have. I did not see the version that aired on A&E. Even PBS edits their British series, so for important shows I sometimes just order the DVD from the UK. Often it allows me to see things before they air here. I assume there were commercials interrupting the US showings?
