Chris Potter and the changes

Chris Potter is obviously busy, if you notice on his IMDb page with his acting projects. Catherine Bell had to make a transition by forwarding the story to the future when her daughter is grown up and in high school. It doesn't mean that they can't make another film with Chris, but Bell felt a new regular series was in order and they had to make transitions. I have no problem with a doctor moving in next door and the debate between modern medicine verses nature's remedies. I found the series pilot to be interesting. I think they could throw in a new character as well. I like her daughter all grown up, but Bailee Madison is a seasoned actor that I like watching. I also like the new step son, [Dan Jeannotte], all grown up.

If Bell kept making films once a year with all the same cast, the overall story would get tiresome. Change was needed, and a weekly series was what many people wanted.

I didn't DISlike his character, but I never thought he added much to the show. Some people are making a big deal out of it but I don't know why. He's busy elsewhere. Its not the end of the world. I never saw him in anything else, and really don't have the urge to watch something else he's in just because HE is in it. Personally I think as long as the Good Witch, Catherine Bell, is in it, its just fine. I think I liked the first couple of movies best when she wasn't married.

I didn't accuse anyone of that. Some people might have been upset that he isn't in the new TV series. His IMDb page indicates that he's involved in projects and continues to act.

I like Chris, but everyone is entitled like who they want.

I like Catherine Bell in everything I've seen. 'Army Wives' was good, but I didn't get to see many episodes because of work.

I didn't mean to suggest you did. Only that I could take or leave his character.

And you know, they can always get Chris Potter back If he ever has or can make the time, by having him play a different character that was a friend of Jake's and have Chris Potter look a little different from his "Jake" character. People do have their look-a-likes. I've never seen the TV series, but was upset Chris Potter was not going to be on it, so I can, to an extent, understand his fans disappointment. But I've seen many shows where they have killed off/replaced a character and the actor comes back as a totally different character and people don't mind. So maybe one day, that will happen with Chris Potter. But if I am able, I do plan to watch the show and if it is good, I will accept it even without Jake's character.
