So everyone keeps comparing it to Archer...

For the record, I have not seen ONE episode of Archer. But since everyone keeps saying that Moonbeam city is copying it I'll throw this out: Archer AND Moonbeam City are copying the art and look that Rockstar games used during the early to mid 2000's before Grand Theft Auto 4 came out. Go look at the artwork, both in game and marketing, from GTA 3 up till the last game released before GTA 4. And even then, Rockstar was being influenced by the look of the "Adult" cartoons of the time that were parodying very late '70's/early '80's American super hero cartoons before everything got outsourced to Japan for its animation. But Moonbeam City is ripping off Archer? Oh, and yes, I have heard that Archer is based on a comic book, (also have not read it), so lets not go there. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention 1980s artist Patrick Nagel, but I'd hardly say it's ripping him off. It's a homage to him and a decade, or an era.

Back to my point... So if we're going this route it's OK for one show to rip from another franchise, but when it's fans feel that someone else is, arguably, ripping them off its somehow bad?

I'm not bashing Archer, have not seen it, and I'm not a *beep* Troll. But I do like this show ALOT! I hope it gets a second season. But all I see on this board is "Archer this, and Archer that." Sounds to me, just from lurking around, that Archer fans either like this show and won't admit it or they are scared that this show may become the next Archer (whatever that means, like I said, I don't watch Archer or have even seen an episode).

Discuss amongst yourselves.

I understand your annoyance but you need to remember only the loudest douche-bags are on here bagging this and loving Archer. I am a big fan of both shows and I agree with you completely, people need to quit claiming this is a rip off of Archer. The humor is quite different yet as funny in its own way.

If you do like this I would recommend watching Archer as you probably will enjoy it.

TL/DR *beep* should *beep* themselves

Thank you for giving a honest, thoughtful and intelligent responce. I was waiting for all the Archerfiles to burn me at the stake and call me a troll or something else to that affect lol! But I may check out some Archer. I have heard good things about it. I just don't watch TV, almost at all anymore.

Seems like everything you get into gets cancelled without even closing doors or tying up loose ends. I can't stand all the superhero stuff and the teeny Bopper vampire shows. So tv and me just don't get along much anymore.

Anyway, glad to hear what you had to say and I'll take your advice!

The comparison to "Archer" is more than just the visual style. It is more the overall tone, dialogue and story. As a matter of fact, the visual styles differs more than any other aspect of the shows.

I see. As I said, I, as of yet, still have not watched Archer.
