Too far from the 80's

The show is very laden with 80's references and style. The age demographic that might get a kick out this show is 30+. This probably would have done better 10 - 15 years ago.

I see a lot of people complaining it rips of Archer but they are both using the same frame as Get Smart.

All the characters are based on artist Patrick Nagel's style. His most recognizable popular work is the cover of Duran Duran's Rio album. Every race and gender is represented in a porcelain style.

The bright and pastel colors are Miami Vice inspired. Rad's outfit is very Michael Jackson/Break Dance inspired.

The main characters are a collection of 80's cop shows.

A lot of the episodes parody 80's show episodes from Miami Vice, Dynasty, Magnum P.I., etc....

So tell us something we don't already know? And it's supposed to be a "what if the 80's never ended and this is the 80's in the 2000s" or something similar type scenario. I mean I'm pretty sure that's what the creator said in an interview I'd be glad to dig up. All that matters is if you like this show and you get it.

It's not too far from the '80s. Pretty much everyone I know born in the '90s still have a sort of "nostalgia" for the '80s.
