Hoff on the moon?

Considering this is Sharknado I'm discussing, I probably shouldn't be one to question the legitimacy of some things. But here goes...

After Gil goes out to turn on the satellite ray, we learn that the shuttle only has enough fuel to either pick him up, or get back to Earth, leaving him stranded in space to die. But then we see him safely landed on the moon? Umm...couldn't he have flown himself back to the ship, which was only a short distance away it seemed? He made it all the way to the freaking moon?

And yet, SHARKS IN SPACE! =)

reply

I think he probably rode a shark to the moon. :/

*beep*, you are probably right.

Yeah when they showed him saying "what a view" he was looking at the moon... from FAR away and it seemed like he was only about 50 feet from the shuttle... AND there was an extra backpack (that fin used) so why didn't he just drag that one with him and use it to fly back to the shuttle. That whole scene was just BS... LOL.. like most of the movie 

Wish-fullfilling dream sequence?

It's the setup for Iron Sky 3.

Best films ever:

Snakes on a Plane
Snakes on a Train
Snakes on a Crane
Snakes on Mark Twain

I know what you mean, in a film where sharks dont die in space, and a great white can protect you from atmospheric re-entry, its hard to complain about scientific accuracy.

But unless the shark he rode was going at nearly the speed of light, there is no way the Hoff could have reached the moon in the same time it took Fin to fall back to earth.

In thish short of rashe, their is no shilver medal for finishing schecond.

With this kind of film I don't see any point in questioning anything they put on the screen. If you're looking for any kind of logic, scientific accuracy or even internal consistency then your watching the wrong film.

I simply assumed they're making it up as they go along and if something they want to include contradicts what they did earlier then what the hell.

That is the only way it would make sense but it didn't look like a dream so poorly done. Also wth with the lander on the moon with him? Anyway this was part of what made me not like this movie as much as the first two. This one was not even close to being as good.

Well, of course we learn in Sharknado 4 that Gil actually did get to the Moon. Oh, well... ☺
