Father Issue?

A very poetic film, dramatic while also very subtle on the emotions of the main characters. I can tell director/writer spent a lot of time on the script, which give the film some layer and depth. Maybe I am reading too much into it, some scenes seems about the father issue, Charles being attracted to an older man, and the two breakups brought back the memory of his father's abandonment, which might also be the reason he ultimately choose Tim. Sebastian self-mocked about having a 'ginger' hookup on halloween, which resembles his father in some way....
