Why is a Youtube playlist on IMDB?
These are cheap 7 minute long videos. Why would an Internet Movie Database need this here? It cheapens everything IMDB stands for.

shareThat is very true. The series is just normal you tube fodder and not worth mentioning on this site. I think it's posted here as a needless statement.
shareIt cheapens everything IMDB stands for?
What does it stands for?
It contains countless video media, documentaries, web series, podcast, videoclips, videogames.
Hell, Whil Wheaton's TableTop web podcast is here as a tv series.
Do you which to cleanse IMDb from what you consider unfit, which youtube series deserves to be here and which does not?
It had an original funding through kickstarter of more than 150.000$ before Kickstarter's cut.
Add to that whatever funding they received since they started and you've got a rather expensive web series, with I hope a lot of work behind it (I mean with such financial support you would expect it)
Then why shouldn't it be there, are McIntosh and Sarkeesian to trivial and insignificant to have their work displayed on IMDb for the world to rate, review and discuss?
What is the harm of it being here? Why is it wrong? Please tell me, I honestly want to know.
It's some pessimist sitting in a chair giving negative reviews about video games. If you don't think that's trivial & insignificant then could I interest you in purchasing a Blu-Ray version of 'Saving Christmas'?
shareIt loses it's insignificance when it is funded, allegedly professional work with a lot of reach.
Especially when promoted by actors of the video game industry.
It's at least significant enough to get on IMDb.
Thanks for responding to one single point of my reply.
This series of videos cost over half a million dollars to develop. I think you should apologise for questioning it.
share"These are cheap 7 minute long videos..."
I love it when stupid people attack Anita Sarkeesian with attacks that are obviously wrong.
Of all the countless criticism of the series (many of them very much legitimate), this has to be the weakest one. Yes it is just a web series, not a movie, but there are also IMDB entries for other web series.
shareAsking a question is criticism - OMG You better call National Security - Who knows what I'll do next - You should rally all of those wonderful feminists together and harass the crap out of me until I learn my lesson. But "oh no" I just made another weak countless criticism!!! That's terrorismisming!!! You better get me fired from my job too ^_^ "Yeah, you have a nice day."
share"It cheapens everything IMDB stands for." is not asking a question, it's a value judgment.
But you seem to have mistaken me for some SJW/radical feminist. I'm no fan of Sarkeesian/McIntosh or Tropes vs. Women. In fact I think this series is complete trash and a great disservice to the gaming medium, gamers and especially anyone who genuinely advocates for quality representation of women in games. Their arguments are intellectually dishonest, occasionally even outright lying to fit their narrative. How anyone could consider this for any form of educational use (as AS herself has advocated for) is beyond me.
But it still has a place here on IMDB. There is no practical limit on the number of entries and IMDB doesn't discriminate on quality (there are also plenty of bad movies here). So the only somewhat valid argument would be, that this is a web series and not a movie or TV show. But since many other web series (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1635327/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1230180/ for example) also have their own entries, even review/critique oriented ones, I see no reason to exclude Tropes vs. Women either (no matter how bad/misguided it might be).
In fact, one could argue that this notion to suppress or censor information that one doesn't like is more akin to the standard SJW tactic. I prefer to let ideas stand on their own merits and let viewers/readers decide for themselves and give feedback (something that feminist frequency also doesn't believe in, seeing the way they handle YT comments or any kind of viewer feedback). IMDB could be such a place to discuss the content of the series, unlike the YT comments, which are disabled for all their videos.
