So stallone crew was the original

Guardians of the Galaxy?

Yes they were. And Yondu was also part of that team in the comics (appeared with a huge mohawk). They're weren't so popular, so Marvel rebooted the series in 2008 with Starlord's team. I think they never met in the comics, not even with Yondu as they do in the movies.
(They started to form their team in an event series called Annihilation Conquest. Which is a sequel to Annihilation...yeah, it's complicated, but it's worth to read, and you get to know Nova, who has the coolest story of all of them. He definitely needs an MCU movie!)

It would be great if the two teams could meet in the movies!

reply

I'd rather they were a futuristic team of highly powerful heroes. An old Ravager team is pretty bland.

reply

Yeah, so that would be my question. Do you guys think the Stallone team would appear in future installments of the series. Obviously minus Yondu.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/4yxQsi5ERi4

reply

I'm guessing they will.

My hope was that we would've gotten a time travel story at some point and gotten to see a version of the future team, showing that these misfits eventually inspired future generations.

reply

Ya I think I saw in an interview somewhere that all the recurring cast, including Stallone, has agreed to come back in the future.

reply

Of course Stallone would agree to come back, he wants the steady work!

Can't say I was impressed with his character or the storyline he was in, though.

Various members of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team are featured in the film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, including Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord, Michael Rosenbaum as Martinex T'Naga, Ving Rhames as Charlie-27, Michelle Yeoh as Aleta Ogord, Krugarr and an uncredited Miley Cyrus as the voice of Mainframe. They are revealed to be an interstellar group of thieves, smugglers, and pirates known as the Ravagers. The Ravagers are broken into groups that follow a strong code and work ethic. Yondu broke the code by transporting children to Ego unaware of his evil intent. Upon learning of their fates, he saved Peter Quill from the same fate. Nevertheless, his actions resulted in Stakar exiling Yondu's faction from the rest of the Ravagers. In the film's climax, Yondu sacrifices himself earning the respect of the rest of the Ravagers and convincing them to get back together and form their own team.[9][10]

Seeing and being introduced to the OG team was probably the neatest thing about the sequel (well after Mantis). Pretty cool.
