Am I the Only One that find the humor forced/lame?

painful at times

reply

I find this entire series stupid and douchey. You're not the only one finding the humor lame. That racoon will never be funny.

reply

I'm glad I'm not alone with my opinion.

reply

Hitz and misses but were u expectin Anchorman?

reply

anchor man 1 was ok
anchor man 2 was a mixed bag

reply

The humor was forced and lame just like the first film.

reply

so you disliked the humor of the first part in it's entirety and still went to watch the sequel?

reply

Free ticket and the rest of this mindless popcorn movie is ok.

reply

for a film you knew you weren't gonna like?

reply

Where in my comment did I say I disliked the movie? The humor was lame, the movie was ok, did you also miss the free ticket part?

reply

time is expensive in my profession. ^^

And yet here you are replying numerous times over a simple comment

reply

totally worth it. doesn't take 90 minutes though. xD

reply

And yet here you are replying numerous times over a simple comment. Spending 90 minutes in a movie theater on a free ticket is also worth it.

Humor is subjective, I thought some of it worked and some of it didn't. The thought the plot just seemed stuck more than anything.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/4yxQsi5ERi4

reply

Nope, not the only one. I completely agree, most of the jokes fell flat, and funniest ones were all show in the trailer.

reply

I think I am gonna have to disagree with you there. I thought most of the attempts at humor hit home. For humor, Drax is probably my favorite character.

reply

Yeah, most of it worked. A couple clinkers, but lots of fun. Drax always brings a smile.

reply

Never understood why millennials have no sense of humor. It's pretty sad. Get over yourselves.

reply

I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree. While there were a few jokes that I would've been OK with dropping, overall I was really entertained and thought it was very funny. I think, for me, the biggest problem (of many) for Jar Jar Binks was that he was played as such a buffoon that you just cringed instead of being able to laugh along with him. Baby Groot has a sweetness, sincerity, and winsomeness that makes him feel very different from Jar Jar. True, that still may not be at all funny or appealing for you. :-)

Noticed for some time that nerds think they're cool for hating something everyone liked, and humor is almost taboo in these films. I didn't know I moved to Germany, seriously. What is the deal with people these days?

reply

So you are a nerd for disliking something? Everyone liked? Get over yourself. Regarding the "humor" in this film, it could be argued that someone is more of a nerd for liking it.
