Is it me or are there not many anime fans who know about this one?

Is it me or are there not many anime fans who know about this one?
Though I've yet to find someone who doesn't think this anime is great.

I finished watching it yesterday and that last episode just amazed me.
Everything about this anime amazed me. The characters, the story and the incredible music.
I'm a piano player myself and I'm seriously considering playing some classical pieces again.

I started watching it sometime last year, took a break, then started the show all over again to finish it. I'm now on episode 10 of 22. Never read the manga for any of the shows I've seen. For those who don't know, it's called "Your Lie in April", but the real title is " I met the girl under the full bloomed cherry blossoms and my fate had begun to change." Great show to start when it comes to moving animes (Along with Another, Clannad, Clannad After Story, Angel Beats, and Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない。 Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.?, lit. "We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day."). That is my pick for animes that can move you to tears. Another great suggestion is Rosario Vampire, Ouran High School Host Club, and He is My Master.

I had kept my distance because it looked really sappy and predictable. Then, ironically when looking for something out of the norm, I looked a little closer and thought the artwork might say otherwise and gave it a shot.

I've not finished watching the series, however, I can say that there isn't a movie or show I can remember seeing that was so accurate to the feelings of a musician and managed to touch me like this has. More than caring about the characters, the writers have done an amazing job of illustrating what cannot be put into words, and that is the beauty of animation at its finest: it gives you what cannot be said and shows you what you cannot see. I am anxiously awaiting the opportunity to see the rest of the episodes.

How did you manage not to watch this in one piece? Did you finish it already?

Just finished it and miss those guys already :-)....and are running out of good animes.

Ha ha, yes, I did end up binge watching the whole thing in a few days. I was very pleased that it ended as strong as it began. It is easy to understand the love that Kaori has received on Tumblr - and not in a sexual way. As reflective as her character is of real people, she became something of an inspirational focal point that draws together the lives of many people I have known into one person.
