I think Noel just wanted to be left alone

There were several opportunities to make friends but he just shyed away from them. Although he had a fantastic knowledge of the trees he was selling Noel didn't exactly endear himself to the customers. Also, bit of a weird shift as well. 9pm to 9am. I mean who would buy trees past midnight?

SPOILERS HERE! Once he flushed the pills (innocent me was thinking that he was marking the days with chocolates....DID wonder why he was chasing them with water), he started to wake up and interact a little more with people. I just wanted the payoff of seeing that he was really going to regain his life and felt cheated that we weren't left with a little more hope that he would. I mean, I didn't want a Hallmark ending (or maybe I did), but it might have been nice if Lydia had found some clue at the empty tree stand site where she could begin tracking him down. They might have been very good for each other.
