MUSCLE SHOLES?????
I am struggling to understand how you think you are completely recording our "history" of music without a visit here. Good luck with that Dave.???

shareI checked a map to be sure, and that's the way it was spelled. Sorry, but I loved the Foo Fighters before they forgot to go to Alabama. Now I think they are media whores. Sorry. They are totally over exposed right now.
shareDo you have some personal reason for caring? You don't even live there.
It's only an 8-part series, and two other documentaries highlighting Muscle Shoals recently came out, which they probably knew about.
A new album, and companion documentary (that includes a lot more than just them), doesn't equal overexposed.
Your obsession with them not covering it in several other threads, is really bizarre.
I believe Dave had a few reasons for not putting muscle shoals in his series. One of those reasons being that he chose people and studios that inspired him over the years. Another reason is that muscle shoals already has a Fame status. The real question is, how many of you guys heard of the studios mentioned in the series before this show? Exactly my point, Dave tried to educate people on music history in America from his perspective. And he did an amazing job at it! for that I praise him.
shareI retract. Sorry I spelled this wrong but you got my emotional response!
shareObviously they couldn't cover everything man. There's a TON of scenes they could have covered but just didn't have the time. Had they gone to Alabama but then left out California or Nashville then someone would be saying the exact same thing you are.
Besides why would something like this affect your enjoyment of the Foo Fighters music? it's absolutely irrelevant to their past albums.
Look at that turtle go bro!
First, they can't cover every single noticeable music area in America
Second, Muscle Shoals just had a in depth documentary made on it so if they'd gone there, it would have been repetative. Same reason it would've made no sense to go to Motown
They are visiting places that mean something to THEM personally as well as delving into that particular city's contributions to music. I can't imagine FF has any significant ties to Alabama.
shareFor all of the Why wasn't Fort Lee, New Jersey included? type questions:
Did anyone else notice that every episode was labeled "season one"?
There's no reason to believe there won't be another season with more episodes and who knows;
maybe your favourite town will be included.
Stay tuned.
You seem to be taking this personally and with arrogance...
Muscle Shoals is an important part of music, but isn't the be-all-end-all of music history, there are plenty of people/places/things that weren't included...
• Those involved with "The Wall of Sound"
• Motown
• The Wrecking Crew
• Legendary backup singers and session musicians
• The legendary Cross Roads
Do I really need to go on?
Your arrogance makes you seem like a poseur.
This isn't a music history show, it's a Foo Fighters documentary.
You confusion is understandable though, since you can't even correctly spell the place you are so angry about. Nor could you find the edit button for your post.
