The ice cream scene actually made me LOL :-)

I'm not surprised by this actually. Out of all of the new movies on Hallmark this Christmas, this one was my favorite. I actually thought the acting was believable and nobody really stuck out as a horrible actor or actress to me. The only one who I thought struggled a bit with acting was the bratty model girlfriend. I also thought the chemistry of the two leads was very believable. They worked well in scenes together. Usually the big "first kiss" scenes in the Hallmark Christmas movies are exactly the same, expected, and boring. Their kiss scene was romantic and believable.

The ratings may have been higher because of Brandon Routh. He's on Arrow right now and I'm sure a lot of the viewers who follow that may have followed him in The Nine Lives of Christmas. I'm glad it did well considering the fact that I saw absolutely no commercials or advertising for it. They didn't even show a clip of it in the 12 new movies of Hallmark promo. It was my favorite original movie this Christmas on Hallmark. If they release it later on DVD or as a digital download I will definitely buy it.

I liked the idea of seeing if he would pass the mistletoe kiss test. The bratty girlfriend was rightly described as "a superficial nightmare of a human being."

I guess Routh's casting helped.

It's that man again!!

It was actually Ambrose boost the ratings. Everyone tuned in for him.
