The psycho girlfriend (spoilers)

What a bitch, lol. I thought she was going to show up after the break up and do something bad, because of her "You'll regret this" line. Even if my dad was the owner of a shop and an employee said something rude about me to my face when I deserved it (in this case, she did deserve that remark), I would never try to get them fired. If it was the owner's decision, that's totally different. But I'm not known for being a jerk who only cares about himself.

I also thought that Zachary was going to end up rescuing Marilee and the cats from a house fire at the end. I felt bad for Marilee when the landlord kicked them out but I thought that she wouldn't be able to based on the fire code that Zachary mentioned.

Like the proverbial cheese, I stand alone. Even while seated.

Absolutely! Unfortunately - lots of folks are that selfish and some have fathers in key places who are a bit henpecked and cave to the demands.

That model girlfriend was horrible. I was so happy when Zachary broke up with the bitch.

Yeah when he broke up and it didnt' seem to register with her that it was partly based on the fact she caused someone to be fired just because she didnt like them I wanted him to say to her after she made the comment, "you're breaking up with me. I'm a model" or something like that with a reply of "yeah but beauty on the outside does not matter if you have no beauty on the inside, you need to work on that" or "I'm not looking for someone who is superficial" or something similar to those. Also I thought about him mentioning, you know that I adopted a cat that I have grown to care about yet you show no concern at all about it so again why would I want to be with someone who has no regards to things important to me.

reply

I know, right? Such a self-absorbed prima donna, with no compassion. The fact that her Dad was scared of her says a lot, and none of it good.

I just watched that same actress in another movie, June in January, and she was snooty in that one, too. If she isn't careful she is going to get typecast.

I wouldn't go that far. After all, both of them agreed that they wanted the same from the beginning - temporary superficial relationship with no intentions to go any further ever. So it was Zachary who didn't play by rules. And he knew exactly what he could and should have expected from Blair. So it was correct that he wasn't too rude or blaming her too much because after all it was him to blame. Blair was true to herself, to her image and her personality, no matter if we like her or not, and it was Zach who broke his promises and betrayed both himself and Blair.

We don't have to like Blair but we must admit that she was consistent and faithful to herself, and was entitled to feel cheated. Even her arguments, no matter how they might seem illogical or ridiculous to us ("I am a model") are in fact a part of her personality that Zach accepted, even more, the fact that she was a model was one of reasons they were together.

So there is no reason to blame Blair or to be disappointed with her behaving. She kept her relation with Zach in perfect order, doing everything what she was supposed to do (having Marlee fired was just her method to preserve their relation, wouldn't every female try to get rid of another woman when feeling threatened?), but it was Zach who spoiled everything. He changed suddenly and for no reason, as sometimes males suddenly start beating their girlfriends and wives, or suddenly start to gamble, or suddenly a good peaceful young man from the neighborhood appears to be a serial killer or rapist. For a relation like the one Blair and Zachary had it would be less of a problem if he robbed a bank or two, ignored his parents funeral or revealed a next-door kid that his father's in jail (and not working in Africa as his mother told him) than letting a cat live in his appartment. It's not just that Blair didn't like cats, it's an act of emotion, something that doesn't fit in agreement that Blair and Zach, as emotionless people they were supposed to be, made.

So, no matter if we like change in Zach more than the guy who became rude and violent, it was his fault and Blair had all the right to feel angry and disappointed and unjustifiably rejected. After all, just imagine if the movie was made from her point of view, if we knew her from the beginning as the main character having a good relation that fulfilled both her and Zach's wishes, and then suddenly another woman came, jeopardized and finally ruined it...

I don't think so. Zach was wrong for dating that shallow woman in the first place, but that's where his fault lies. She was a royal spoiled brat who 1. got a woman fired and 2. let his cat out and 3. she lied about cooking all day. Ambrose should have scratched her face up!

It hasn't been a one night stand, Zach knew her well enough and stayed with her, so it must had been a satisfying relation for him. I don't like her any more than you do, but it was Zach's choice, not ours...

Every time my fiance and I watch this movie we laugh at the part where she says, "I made dinner!" And then when he breaks up with her he says, "I know you didn't make dinner; I see the restaurant bag in the trash and the oven isn't even connected." LOL!

She really was horrible. And also, Marilee totally could have brought a lawsuit against her employer. You cannot fire someone just because your daughter tells you to.

I totally forgot about this movie until I saw it was airing last night. I lost my baby Jingle kitty right after New Years and hopefully after Christmas we'll be getting a new feline family member. I miss her every day. Yes we called her Jingles and jingly and The Jing because of her collar that had a little bell on it. haha. I love the cat they chose to be Ambrose. He looked really affectionate when he would roll around on the ground.

I'm sorry you lost your kitty.

I lost my first cat, Pandora, the day before New Years Eve, several years ago. She had a good long life, but I still mss her!

How sad, that you were not born in my time, nor I, in yours.
