in the US, women are inferior

Simon is insane and dangerous. But two women would be stronger than he is. Why is it always like that in American culture? Women get to be controlled, raped, abused.
Other posters have asked why didn't she...
She had possibilities and did not use them. When she hit him, she was not even able to tie him properly. It only took him a minute to get rid of the rope she used.
Why don't we ever see a strong woman in American movies?

Especially for a Canadian movie, you would think the women would be a bit tougher.
