So Superman and Wonder Woman have gills?

Flash used a mask so it was intentional for WW and Superman to not have them. Is that some old super power I'm not aware of?

I think, due to their unique physiology, they don't need to breathe.

So you are OK with the thousands of times superman flies into outer space without a breathing mask and a trillion oxygen tanks but him breathing under water crosses the line for you? I don't know why Wonder Woman didn't need to breath but she's not human either, maybe she doesn't need to. She is damn near immortal as it is.

Didn't Aquaman breathe into Supes when he freed him from that cocoon thing? Is giving others the ability to breathe underwater one of his powers? I know its something that occurs in certain mermaid folklore.
