A lot of these have been hit or miss for me lately, which is unfortunate.
I absolutely adored Batman: Assault on Arkham, but Batman and Son, Justice League: War, and Gods and Monsters have just been awful. I don't know what's been going on, but they need to do something to get the record back on track.
In my opinion, the voice acting, writing, and animation have been the major factors on why these movies haven't been working. I can let the animation pass, heck I'll even let the voice acting pass, as long as the story is good. Flashpoint Paradox didn't have the best animation or acting, but the story was solid and that just worked. Again, Assault on Arkham has been my favorite recently because that actually seemed to be firing on all cylinders.
As much as I love Andrea Romano, I think they need to replace her. She's picking actors more because they're famous then because they can do quality voice work, and she may be losing her touch overall as well. Also, they just need to take more chances and risks with their art style and animation. Killing Joke looks so boring. I should NEVER be saying that about Killing Joke. If they followed more of the art style of the book, then maybe they would have had something.
So in the end of the day, I just don't know. Hopefully they'll listen to people and take more risks and set new standards. But as for right now, I don't think they'll be changing anything because they get a ton of money on these things.
